After three successful TEDxWilmette events sharing big ideas from approximately 20 different speakers, we are happy to introduce a new way to connect with the TEDxWilmette community: Salons.
Salons offer an opportunity to bring our community together more than once a year, and a chance to interact on a personal level with each other and our speakers. We hope you can join us!
What are Salons?
Salons are TED-sanctioned events in a smaller group setting, each featuring the talk from one of our 2022 speakers, followed by a moderated discussion with the speaker.
When are the Salons?
We are planning six Salons for 2022. They will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month starting in June from 7:15pm - 8:30pm, with breaks in August and December.
June 21, 2022 - Laura Coy
July 19, 2022 - Foram Sheth
September 20, 2022 - Jennifer Fondrevay
October 18, 2022 - Lindsay Avner Kaplan
November 15, 2022 - Natasha Miller Williams
January 17, 2023 - TBD
Where are the Salons?
The Wilmette Theatre has graciously donated the space for the Salons. Their renovated space is conducive for group discussion. The Theatre’s concession stands (including wine and beer) will be open.
How do I attend?
Tickets will be $25 and available approximately four weeks before each Salon. Tickets can be purchased through the TEDxWilmette home page. Subscribers to TEDxWilmette will also receive an e-mail when tickets are available.
