TEDxWilmette Salons

After four successful TEDxWilmette events sharing big ideas from over 25 different speakers, we are happy to continue connecting and keeping the conversation going with the TEDxWilmette community: Salons.

Salons offer an opportunity to bring our community together more than once a year, and a chance to interact on a personal level with each other and our speakers. We hope you can join us!

What are Salons?

Salons are TED-sanctioned events in a smaller group setting.  Each salon features a talk from one of our recent TEDxWilmette speakers, followed by a moderated discussion. All speaker talks can be viewed on our Videos page.

When are the Salons?

The Salon schedule will be announced after the TEDxWilmette 2025 event has concluded.

Where are the Salons?

The Salons will be presented at various locations in Wilmette. Past Salons have been held at the Wilmette Theatre and Wilmette Public Library.  These spaces are conducive to group discussion.

How do I attend?

Tickets will be available approximately four weeks before each Salon. Tickets can be purchased through the TEDxWilmette home page. Subscribers to TEDxWilmette will also receive an e-mail when tickets are available.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDX. TEDx is a local, self-organized event program that brings people together to share a TED-like experience.

Our event is called TEDxWilmette, where x = independently organized TED event.  At our TEDxWilmette event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TED program, but individual TEDX events, including ours, are self-organized.
