TEDxWilmette Salons

After six successful TEDxWilmette events sharing big ideas from over 31 different speakers, we are happy to continue connecting and keeping the conversation going with the TEDxWilmette community: Salons.

Salons offer an opportunity to interact on a personal level with each other and our speakers.

We hope you can join us!

What are Salons?

Salons are TED-sanctioned events in a smaller group setting.  Each salon features a moderated discussion with one or more of our recent TEDxWilmette speakers. All speaker talks can be viewed on our Videos page.

Where are the Salons?

Salon locations for 2026 are Central Station Coffee & Tea and Optima Verdana, both in Wilmette.

How do I attend?

Tickets are available approximately three weeks before each Salon. Tickets can be purchased through the TEDxWilmette homepage. Subscribers to the TEDxWilmette mailing list will also receive an e-mail when tickets are available.

In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxWilmette, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxWilmette event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
